Horses For Sale

Sweet Breeze Acres offers a few horses a year. Our passion is with the equines, and we love every aspect of working with them. We take in horses and find them homes, as well as train and rehab. See what we have available and always feel free to come meet them! Don't hesitate to ask questions. We reserve the right to deny an adoption if we don't feel the fit is right.

Stanley

Stud colt, Appy Cross. Grade, no papers.

Approximately 6 months old.

Originally feral, but I am working on gentling. Currently halter breaking and going great! He is walking ok on the lead rope, nothing like crazy, just more hesitant when he's scared, but normal stuff. He is getting softer and learning to follow. No rearing or crazy behavior at the moment. Taking things slow and calm, building confidence. I would keep him in a smaller area until he is more educated. Don't just toss him on acres and acres. You would struggle catching him. haha. Pretty good to catch in a smaller area.

He is a quiet gentle soul. He is definitely more of a bulker and freeze when scared kind of horse, not one to blow up.. He has immense try in him and a willingness to please. He has been getting even more interactive with us and asking for attention.

Can be touched but still nervous, he is letting us groom and touch his whole body. Starting to pick up feet softly. So far, no kicking. Exposed to the trailer but will take time. Exposed to things like leaf blower, umbrellas, hoses, kids, dogs, sheep, chickens, cars, four wheelers, ropes, cleaning tools, spray etc. He is not perfect but is taking things in stride and trying so hard to be good.

Doing well stalling. Good with mucking out and working quietly around him.

He is a very quiet guy when it comes to working with him. Not a super crazy head. He is learning so fast with the 1 to 2, 20-minute sessions I do with him every day.  Very sensitive and thoughtful. Obviously still has silly behavior but doing better every day, nothing scary. He just gets scared like any horse would with new things. It's just all new to him right now. He is a doll of a horse. He will make a wonderful partner and really connects well with a person he gains trust with. He wants to interact and will do about anything for food.

Dewormed on April 3rd, and treated for lice multiple times(came with bugs both inside and out lol). Do not let that scare you....

If he stays longer, he will be vaccinated, feet trimmed and Coggins pulled. He has none of that done at the moment.

He came out of quarantine on the April 24th, He is ready to roll! These pictures are updated but also some older ones on there; he is looking less drab every day! He obviously wouldn't let us touch him at first, so it took time to start getting him looking better. We are getting mats and caked mud off him daily. It's just taking time. Remember he was wild.

I am happy to send pictures or videos if wanted!

Delivery available if needed.

Yeti

Stud colt, Appy Cross. Grade, no papers.

Approximately 8 months old.

Originally feral, but I am working on gentling. Currently halter breaking and he's learning fast! He can lead really well for the most part, still takes some patience. Doing so good though.  No rearing or stupid stuff. I keep a halter on him as of right now.

Can be touched but still skittish at first.. Grooming is going well and he LOVES it. Now we are having to teach him to be polite with asking for attention! Ahaha! You can touch most of his body, still working on his legs. No kicking, just him trying to move away, nothing dangerous, just him learning to understand.

Doing well stalling. Good with mucking out and working quietly around him. He is getting more engaging, curious, and friendly.

He is a very upfront horse and shows everything. He is not one to blow up randomly, but he will let you know how he feels though especially through moving his feet. Just a more "flight" kind of guy. Not bad in any way, just more of a movement guy then bulker. Has a ton of try in him and wants to please. He is the first to greet at the gate with a whinny. He seems to enjoy our training sessions now and I think he will want a job! Learns super super-fast and very interactive. Very sensitive and energetic. Obviously still has Silly behavior but doing better every day. I would keep him in a smaller area to continue training and building trust. I wouldn't just turn him out into a huge field as you may struggle to catch him again. In a smaller area he is fine to catch. He is coming along fast. A good clean slate with soft training and gentling here started. I do about 20 minutes every day with him sometimes 2 times a day of actual training, not just life around him. Trailer loading exposure going positive, will obviously still need more work. Exposed to a lot of things like four-wheelers, trucks, leaf blowers, umbrellas, sheep, dogs, kids, hoses, spray, load noises, cleaning tools etc.

Has a small scar above his eye from previous owner related injury. Just cosmetic, shouldn't show in the future.

Dewormed and treated for lice multiple times (he had bugs inside and out lol) This is also why he is missing some hair on a few spots on his neck, no long term issues though, so don't let bugs scare you. I also started clipping him, doing that slowly to remove mats and mud. Remember he was wild, so we are having to go slow making him look and feel better.

He has either a lost baby tooth or a baby tooth that never came in. #202 tooth. Does NOT affect his eating!

If he stays longer, he will be vaccinated, feet trimmed and Coggins pulled. He has none of that done at the moment.

Just got out of quarantine on April 24th. These photos are updated but some are older. He's looking less shabby every day. We obviously had to get him used to us touching him before we could do grooming etc. Happy to share more recent photos or videos just ask!

Delivery available if needed. Come meet him!

EDDIE

Gelding. 3 years old, not confirmed age.

Grade Quarter horse.

Sound and well put together. He is literally the kindest and most willing gelding you could meet. Has a lot of "try" in him and isn't stupid about stuff. Very sensible so far and takes things with a brain in his head. He is so kind and curious. He is such a darling, sweet boy. You cannot help but like his personality.

Stalls really well. He is a messy boy, but doesn't have any bad stall habits.

Broke to lead, not perfect but working on it. Incredibly easy to catch, walks up to you at the gate. Ties really well.

Trailer loads pretty good, just go slow, backing out of a trailer without a ramp take some encouragement but he's not stupid, rushy or dangerous. Hauls really quiet for a youngster.

Has had a saddle and bridle on a bit, but we are working on basics before we do more of that.

Picks up front feet, working on the back. Blankets ok, still working on those back legs not lifting, he is not a kicker, but he does lift his legs in irritation when blanketing or being touched. That will be resolved this week as we work. Nothing bad at all, just teaching him when to lift willing and when to keep feet on the ground.

Loves to be scratched and has that puppy dog personality.  Currently on 3rd cutting hay.

Check out our You tube or social media to see him on video!   https://youtu.be/iqnRweEkXew?si=UfJyb-343RxrjU3n

Delivery available, come meet him, you won't be disappointed.

RANGER

Weanling stud colt.

He is an Appaloosa cross. Not gaited. No papers.

Originally untouched when we got him. I do not have photos or info on parents.

Halter breaking going well, allows the halter to come on and off. Leads well. Allowing touching on most of his body at this point but not fully confident. Loads (with patience) and stalls well. Picks up feet well, patience with a farrier but getting confident.  Blanketing going on and off frequently so he's getting very used to all that that entails.

Loud color and calm and quiet personality. Very friendly/curious with other animals. He's definitely more on the reserved side. Been around sheep, other horses, chickens, dogs and cats. Likes to have a buddy but not stupid buddy sour or anything.

Currently getting a better weight on him, some of the photos are up to date, others are of when we first got him. Dewormed, current negative Coggins, UTD on EWT + WN

+RABIES + Core EQ innovator. Currently on 2nd and 3rd cutting hay 24/7 and pasture.

SAGE

Weanling Filly.

Was told she was full Appaloosa. No papers. I do not have info or photos of parents.

Picks up feet ok, still working on it. Doesn't strike or kick, just pulls away or gets tense at times.

Halter and leads like a champ, very confident in following. Loads well and stalls great.

Sassy little filly has a lot of cow sense in her and very confident. She is extremely social and loves people now. She knows what she wants and really is not too fearful. Very brave little filly. Comes when called and loves to be groomed. She is used to other horses, sheep, chickens, dogs and cats. Not buddy sour. Loves to chase the dogs or chickens. Boss mare vibes.

She currently has a hernia; we will get that fixed or discuss with adopter.

Currently getting a better weight on her, some of the photos are when we first got her and others are updated to current condition. She's looking really nice! Currently on 2nd and 3rd cutting hay 24/7 and pasture.
